Our team has over 150 years of industry experience in developing transport packaging designs and systems for a variety of products.
These products include both consumer and industrial, domestic and export, and range from small spare parts to large multi-ton machines in crates. We specialize in packaging for shipment by common carriers such as LTL trucking, UPS, and FedEx. Our focus is on shipping damage reduction and cost improvement in packaging materials, production, and labor. We specialize in the design, testing, and specifications of transport packaging, including the unitizing and handling of packaged products.
Many of our projects have involved the cost reduction of packages. The emphasis on most projects has been damage reduction and/or cost improvement, covering domestic, export, and military packaging.
The rapid growth of e-commerce has fundamentally changed transportation packaging requirements. Products are now shipped individually, often bypassing traditional palletized freight systems, increasing the number of touchpoints and the risk of damage.
E-commerce demands packaging that is not only protective but also lightweight, cost-effective, easy to open, and sustainable. There is also a growing need for right-sized packaging to reduce dimensional weight charges and minimize waste.
We address these needs by developing packaging systems optimized for single-parcel delivery channels (such as FedEx, UPS, and USPS), focusing on durability, efficiency, and customer experience.
We provide test plans for packaged products and recommend methods such as palletizing, slip sheets, stretch wrapping, and others.
We have developed an extensive packaging performance testing protocol for major industrial corporations. This includes test equipment descriptions and details on conducting tests to ASTM and ISTA (International Safe Transit Association) requirements for a variety of distribution systems and a full range of package sizes.
Our packaging solutions are built to withstand the demands of both traditional and modern e-commerce supply chains, helping clients reduce damage, improve efficiency, and meet customer expectations.
